I found this review of Listia overall on this TrustPilot site; it's not all about XNK, but not positive information at all about Listia, and they are rated as POOR. Also it appears that Listia is not rated by the BBB, but there are very negative reviews of Listia on there as well. www.trustpilot.com/review/www.listia.com

Just an update on TraderKat for those who care: I sent a message to owner/member support through the "contact us" link within the site yesterday (Thurs Mar 15), around 11:00am. Have not heard back as of 1:00pm today (Fri Mar 16). I read a post on TraderKat Friends (FB) that someone also sent a message to the "support" email addy however, that message was apparently returned as a bad address. Not a good look. I have one auction up there which started at 10 days, so 9 days left. My high bidder is a Darling Lady we all know and love. I read somewhere on TKF (FB) that a seller was not planning to ship at end of her auction for various reasons, mainly low credit/value received. I will be shipping regardless of outcome, as long as I get winner's shipping info. But that's just (my) standards. As far as the $4.99 I paid via PayPal yesterday for credits on TK, it has been deducted from my PayPal account. No suspicious activity there or with my related bank account. I will continue to monitor both. I will lay low during the 9 remaining days and still await word from TK owner/customer support. If I hear back, I will certainly let you guys know here. I am hopeful, but trying not to get excited. On another note, I still have a bunch of charm auctions up on Listia, most listed at just 19.99 INK (highest starting bid without paying fees). So that's worth about a dollar, if each 1 INK is worth a nickel. Well actually, as of right now, each 1 INK is worth *0.0487 cents. Hmm. So 19.99 INK is only worth about 0.80 cents. Wow. The Forever stamp to mail the charms costs 0.50 cents, so that leaves me with about.. 0.30 cents? What, in "INK"!? Sure can't do much with that. Ah well. It's supposed to be fun, right haha? I never did expect to get rich off Listia, let alone INK. But I do need to be able to at least break even. Would be nice to make a lil spending "INK" too, lol.. just for the site. I think I will let my auctions run out without relisting, unless Listia makes a drastic turn for the better. Maybe they'll be greater, later.. Has anyone messaged Listia Admin (lately) and asked if they have a plan? I think we are entitled to an update regarding all the recent issues with their INK Protocol. They could use Blog.. or something. I understand they don't want to go public with their laundry, but we deserve to hear from them with some real substance. Rather than the skirting issues I've heard of with individuals' messages. It would be super nice if they sent us a newsletter each month via message inbox on the site. They could also send updates that way. I have to believe they'd have some way of updating us as a whole, if they cared to. *You can view the current, up-to-date market value of INK here: coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ink-protocol/Think I will check out SwapCaps.com. jyoyokooll.. what did you learn there, the "problems"?

Ok so I've just realized I've been keeping to myself a really great site I found like 10 years ago because I don't really use it. It is pretty much identical to eBay except that it does not get as many eyes. It's been around longer than Listia and is an auction site with many different iterations in other countries which is nice. (Like how eBay has eBay Canada or eBay Germany). No listing fees and 3% final value fee. They do have a buddy point referral system but honestly I don't set up referrals because if I like something I will just tell people without any reward. They've been around since 1999 and have been stable but it does just use normal currency. I'm not sure if you could use XNK on their site but if anyone wants just another good site to sell on this one is decent: www.ebid.net/ You can also use their direct US site link www.ebid.net/us/They do have a SELLER+ lifetime membership where you get pretty much every premium listing upgrade for free and you can set up your own stores (more than one if you want). It is $49.99 on a supposed half price sale from $99.99. But because I joined the site when it was just getting off the ground I only paid $1.99 for a SELLER+ lifetime membership! They did stipulate when I purchased mine that the price would eventually be $99.99 which I thought was utter laughable bs but the $1.99 offer was too good to pass up even if I ended up not using it or the site closed down so I bought it. They never hid the fact that it was going to be expensive to buy it later. And apparently now they can charge that much because they must have been moderately successful. I always meant to use this site but eBay just does so much better that it's hard to put the effort in to list somewhere new. But there it is for you all if you want to check it out. I still think Listia is an amazing platform for trading stuff. I'm not sure it's the best medium for selling and making a business of profit out of it. For profit, I'd use and recommend eBay. Listia is great for a sort of small time trading of gift cards. People are flipping gift cards like crazy, especially the ones coming from the rewards store. I think that's kind of fun. I've done it a few times myself. I needed a cvs gift card and amazon ones were going for more so I listed a couple and then got my cvs one for a great deal. There are always people who can't wait to bid on things so they pay more. Then there are people who have the time to refresh the rewards page constantly until a gift card pops up and buy it. Using a currency other than usd gives us a chance to play with numbers a bit and secure bargains by masking the true cost of what we are buying and selling. That's why I love it. It is, as well as any other site open to being taken advantage of by unscrupulous people looking to make a quick buck and run. You will find those type of people at any site really. What I've recently found is that Listia has actually taken steps to reduce that. I've noticed that when I have too many auctions purchased from me and they haven't been received by the other parties yet, Listia stops my payments and they remain pending until people start receiving their items. I have heard that if someone has a listing that brings in a large amount of credits it remains pending until the other party has marked it received. While those are a bit of an inconvenience to me at times (because I know I'm going to send my items in a timely manner and not cheat people) and I don't get access to my funds right away I understand and applaud this new system. That has and will continue to make a big difference in the amount of fraud and inflation on Listia. I only wish they'd thought of it sooner. But I've read that they do have a team tracking fraud and looking for trends. I look for trends myself. Seller X is suddenly selling a large $ amount of gift cards or expensive gaming system but previously they were selling old dvds, clothes, books and used household items with poor pictures. If something smells a bit fishy I don't take chances there. I don't want my funds tied up in a listing for something I'll probably never see. Making good judgment calls and staying smart are likely predeterminates of being successful and having fun on Listia. There are literally so many good deals on things but I don't have enough funds.

That's too bad that they seem to be fading out. I wish some of us Listians had the time, knowledge and resources to start up a good replacement for Listia. I think having our experience as seasoned sellers/buyers on such a platform would really be of benefit to such a thing. Not an easy thing to do tho, apparently. But not undoable, either.. in the right hands. Listia should have left well enough alone. Perhaps they will get their act together and come out with a New and Improved website. All we can do is wait and see. Something's got to give..

Super information! I still think Listia could turn around but if the value of ink fluctuates and Listia keeps playing games with the rules and currency valuation it just isn't practical. My problem is with the Listia management. They need to sell the site to an organization that will take an interest in managing it as a business. Otherwise it will always be frustrating to trade there.

I love all the photos of people here. What a gorgeous family you have! I have a photo of my two kids sitting with me at my desk back when I used a web cam. A very long time ago. They were very little and the photo is blurry and I still love it. Your photo reminds me of that. My daughters are 24 and 26 now. Thans is so much for sharing!

Welcome leec51. That blog says or doesn't say a few things. Like "...Listings in Ink are starting to grow quickly". But it'd be interesting to know if Listia membership's growth has been commensurate. It doesn't say that. Something else it doesn't say that should be right up front is, where the topic asks, "How do I exchange Ink for another currency?" Then it does not inform "If you’re unsure of exactly how to do this, sit tight! We’ll have some detailed tutorials on this soon, please stay tuned!" People want to know how to cash in their money right now, not "soon".
