Hi dee796, you're absolutely correct. I knew that auction wins only
pay out what I think Listia calls store XNK, which can only be used
in Listia. They convert at a rate of 3,850 credits/XNK. I believe
the other kind of XNK pay out a about half that rate or less. And
yes, I'm aware that they can only be used like credits. However, I
have accrued from 300-some XNK to 1,500 XNK since I posted this.
Several surveys have paid at about 170 XNK per survey, which if you
do the math is 654,500 credits per survey. I've only accrued credits
via surveys since my 8 years in Listia, and I don't think I have ever
received more than 75,000 credits per survey. This is a new phenomenon
and I'm not quite sure what game Listia is playing by allowing surveyers
to pay out so much XNK. Obviously they're trying to get more XNK into
circulation.
In another post here, I'll highlight an individual in Listia who posted
the following web page:
design.stanragets.com/listia-xnk-helper/.
I'm going to email him, and then invite him to our board. I congratulated
him in his post of the ZTE phone auction as follows:
"USB1Bidder Nice job on that XNK:credits:dollars conversion, and it's probably
correct for the real conversion, but Listia converts XNK at a rate of 3850
credits/XNK. Then once I get the credits I convert those to dollars at 27,500
creds:dollar. Nice one though. You're doing Listia's job for them. They should
pay you for this.

"USB1Bidder So the way I'll have to pay for your item is, say, 900 XNK X 3,850
credits = 3,465,000 credits / 27,500 = $126.00. That's how Listia will bill the
bid at 900 credits. But that the Listia store credits, and not your method of
sales credits which has a different and perhaps you had the correct conversion amount.

Now to find that Listia page that shows the two different types of XNK ...
Here it is: One, Listia calls "Main Balance" and the other they call "Store Credit
Balance". The definitions can be found here:
help.listia.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000473252-Main-and-Store-Credit-BalancesBasically, Store Credit consists of "All other Ink that isn't earned from listings or
deposited will generally go toward your Store Credit balance." Whereas Main Credit is
basically, "All Ink earned from your listings goes toward your Main Ink balance." I do
believe that Listia is purposefully obfuscating to confuse it's victims members in order
to catch an extra few hundred million XNK for themselves. It's so obvious. And it's why
our good member here, natahoa, was so incensed over Listia's little hustle. She was way
ahead of Listia and their scam.
Look forward to a new member in the name of the individual who created
