Hiya chalsie. You and I seem to be the only ones who bop in here lately. Thanks for those links on the partnerships. I have not been keeping up with Listia much. Jeeze, I haven't bought anything in over a month.
I've never used IDEX. I'm so rookie at this, I can't even be called a rookie. Like I think I'm just now figuring out that the INK I have on Listia is the same as credits, unless I sell on Listia for INK. Otherwise my 220 or so INKs on Listia are no better than credits. And as I think I said before when I purchased an item last month in INK, Listia, I guess, transferred some 86,000 credits for the 22.5 INKs that I won the item with. I can't be sure that's how it worked, just I know 86,000 credits were removed, and I don't think any INKs were. They're trying to make credits obsolete, as has been discussed before.
I have to find you in Listia, so I can email you and discuss this further. I'm totally and completely, hopelessly lost here. I'm a slow learner. Lazy I guess.
Okay, found ya, sent you an email there. Wow, you're an older member than I am by like 4 months. I'll just cut this short for now, but boy do I have a ton of questions, mostly dumb ones that I could read if I wasn't so lazy, but maybe some just aren't answered in the documentation and links Listia posted.

Hey there! I haven't visited this board that often either. The initial mania has died down. I'm excited for xnk though. I'm betting if we give it another 2 months xnk will go up to 7 cents. I'm actually confident enough that I may just earn xnk and not spend much at all. With the volatility in cryptocurrencies it's an insanely lucrative market to tap into atm. Trying to wrap my head around calculating in different currencies for trading seems so complex though. Plus once you transfer your xnk to a wallet and start incurring fees to trade and transfer then it's likely you won't want to deposit it back to Listia. So I'd need to be sure I really wanted to start. The fact that you can now trade directly from XNK to BTC on Qryptos is highly encouraging though. Having it tied to ETH felt like such a limiting factor. Anyway, I really don't know much about it all so I'm not sure how much help I'd be but if I have answers to questions posted here, I'd answer them, sure!

Ink is now traded on an exchange called qryptos. I use an app called bituniverse to watch the price of Xnk. It shows both the idex and qryptos prices. Which are pretty much the same. Still trading at about 5 cents but it hasn’t gone down into the 4s for a while.
Qryptos requires a lot of identity verification. Which is a good thing. It is similar to coinbase In that it can be used to cash out to dollars. Like coinbase has GDAX qryptos has a sister exchange that costs less to use. For details see the thread on telegram - the ANN channel.
I haven’t signed up for qryptos yet but when I’m ready to sell some ink is use that instead of idex for sure. I never placed a trade on idex - tried once and the site went down. Then the price of xnk tanked. So I never tried again.
You really ought to keep up with the telegram channel. It is the best source of information.

In my opinion you are better off converting your credits to ink and waiting for the value of ink to go up. Just let your ink sit in Listia for the time being. When you want to cash it out you’ll have to move it to a wallet and then to an exchange. I think it will be a year or more before ink goes up substantially but who knows?

Also Chalsie - with regard to ETH or BTC. The currency you choose to purchase with ink is mostly a choice of what you think will best hold or increase in value. I personally think ETH is a better bet. Seems more stable to me. But if btc skyrocketed costs again it could be a better investment. It’s a gamble either way!
I prefer the centralized nature of qryptos only because it has a lot more security built in. I would never leave coins on something like idex because it is too unstable. But with qryptos you can probably leave coins in your accounttheee with reasonable confidence. Like coinbase. It is secured with your own personal account and password.
I haven’t attempted to set up an account on qryptos and it think it might take a few days to do that. They reaure A photo of your drivers license from what I’ve read. So it may have more security than coinbase. Not a lot of chatter on telegram a ot it but I’m sure you can ask questions there and get help from that community.
Cheers! Nancy

I wouldn't mind converting creds to ink, but what I found, as I said in my earlier post, "I think I'm just now figuring out that the INK I have on Listia is the same as credits, unless I sell on Listia for INK." In other words I have not been able to access the wallet from Listia. I have it set up with the Meta-Mask add-on, and I have the account addresses and keys over at uh...MEW or whatever it's called, but if I try to move them from Listia, Listia won't allow access. I think I read somewhere that Listia won't allow access to those unless you have sales in INK, and I have only had one or two sales in all my 8 years in Listia. I sold an apple pie recipe. I'll have to go through all Listia's pages and re-read again the rules for INK/XNK conversion, depositing, withdrawals. I'm about 99% positive I'm making it much more difficult than it is, that's how I roll, but hopefully, with yours and chalsie's help, I might get this resolved one way or another.

Okay, I answered my own question, I think. NOT that I don't have others... Ok, sorry for the extra post here, but this really had me going for awhile, but I found it. It's from help.listia.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000473252-Main-and-Store-Credit-Balances as follows: "Main and Store Credit Balances Saturday at 19:44 Follow Today on Listia, all of your credits are held in a single balance. With the introduction of Ink, we will have two balances, both denominated in XNK. Regardless of balance, ALL Ink that a Listia member has can be used for: Purchasing items on Listia Paying for listing fees (eg, Get It Now, Start Bid) Main Balance All Ink earned from your listings goes toward your Main Ink balance. In addition to the uses listed above, Ink in your Main balance can be withdrawn to an outside Ethereum wallet. From there, your Ink is out of Listia's hands and in your complete control. You can use it on other marketplaces, send it to anyone you'd like, or send it to an exchange where you could trade it with other currencies. Additionally, Ink deposited to your Listia account from an outside source also counts toward your Main balance. Store Credit Balance All other Ink that isn't earned from listings or deposited will generally go toward your Store Credit balance. This includes: Ink from reloading your Store Credit balance with a credit/debit card Ink earned from completing offers and surveys Ink earned for completing goals and referring friends to Listia Ink earned from other types of promotions Ink in your Store Credit balance can only be used on Listia, and differs from Ink in your Main balance only in that it cannot be withdrawn." And so that's where my problem is, I only have Store Credit and not any Ink in my Main balance. What kinda $#!+ is that, huh? There are very few people who don't sell on Listia, I'm one of them. Now what would happen if I did sell say, an apple pie recipe for say, 2 INKs, would it then allow me to transfer the rest of my 220 INKs to Main balance? NO, probably not. I'm getting those INKs by taking surveys. I have 223.34 INKs. I also have about 1.3M credits still. As I said before, I'm not sure how Listia handled that purchase I made last month of 22.5 INK, just I know they deducted like 86,000 from my credits. I looked all this stuff up now, and here's what I did: Apr 8 Item Won: A bauble or something; Amount - 86,625; Balance 1,316,328 I won that bauble or something for 22.5 INKs. Listia did not deduct any INK, rather they converted the 22.5 INK to credits and deducted that amount from my credits balance. I did the math, it's 3,850 creds/INK, which is their credit:INK conversion rate. :sigh: You'd think that Listia would bother to put a little conversion scale in like they had before. Come to think of it, where's the Buy Credits chart at? This post looks like it was written by a mad man. I'm gonna send it anyway. Jeeze, I hope nobody but you and chalsie read it.

That is amazing that you have accumulated that much xnk for free. You must take a lot of surveys. I've done maybe 3 surveys. xD Welps, I mean you can always continue to buy things on listia. I think that's a good way to get the most for your xnk. In fact if you hold onto it and the value goes up you'll buy able to buy way more stuff than if you spent it now.

Well, yeah, I do take lots of surveys. I guess I need to get a life. Amazingly, I do manage to do other things as well. I have a trick to take surveys using a fake name, and disposable email so I don't get spammed, and I just wade through them really fast. I never did sell, as I've said, so I have to have some way to accumulate credits, and prior to surveys, I relied solely on Listia's giving out 5 or 2 credit every so often, and that was it. Want to buy a delicious apple pie recipe for only one INK? And again, I'm not sure about holding on to Listia's Store INK, their Main INK maybe so, but the store INK, as has already been stated, "...can only be used on Listia, and differs from Ink in your Main balance only in that it cannot be withdrawn." I don't think holding it will be much good, will it? The exchange rate is 3,850 credits/INK when I won my last auction. So its value will probably remain, or it could inflate just as easily as the credits did a year or so ago until they stabilized at 27,500 credits/dollar. Converting the XNK or INK to credits to dollars is a royal PITA and one would think that Listia MIGHT get around to setting up a conversion table for that, like they had for the dollar:credit conversion. ARGH...I'll go now, come back after I get a few more fence posts sunk into the ground.

I earned all of my ink from selling. So I moved most of it off Listia and am waiting for the value to go up. The InkPay app should be released within the next month. That MIGHT make the value of ink go up but honestly I’m not sure why it would. Not until a lot of people start using it.

Yes but then prices will on Listia will go up too. Trust me. Sellers are closely watching the value of ink and as it changed they will price accordingly. I think it will be a year or more before ink value goes up substantially. I’m at a loss to figure out what WiLL drive up the value. The next round of crypto inflation will probably help. But people will need a good reason to buy ink instead of other crypto for their investment portfolios.

Glad to hear from you natahoa. Wish I could help on those pix. I'm sure I could figure it out, but I never sell. Did you want to add photos in this board here, or in Listia? If here, I think I can give you a hand. What you do is upload them to imgur.com then just copy and past the URL from imgur into the board here. And there is a control panel where you just highlight the URL and then click the Insert Image button, but I have found that a bit iffy, so just type IMG tags on each end of the full URL, like this: [IMG[https://i.imgur.com/nX5hnkg.jpg[/IMG] Here is the actual URL in correct form (I just want to show off my pie ) Notice the first IMG tag with the two brackets, one is turned in the same direction as the other, like so: " [img [http..." If I did it correctly, by turning it this way: it would code an errorred image and you wouldn't see the image tags. So just turn that second bracket so it faces the first bracket like so: [IMG ]. As far as loading pix in Listia, I wouldn't be much help, I only sold two recipes for an apple pie with two photos, but that was uh...Wednesday, Nov 16, 2011 9:59:21 AM GMT-0800, and the second time I ever sold anything was back in Wednesday, Aug 19, 2015 2:52:23 PM GMT-0700 with only one pic. Then Listia said I couldn't sell recipes because they were digital items, and threatened me pretty harshly. I should try to find that reprimand from ListiaRichard, I think. Listia has never been fully responsive in their support. Grrr...
